Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine

It is said that the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine was created to enshrine the deity of Mount Fuji in order to calm the repeated eruptions of Mount Fuji. That deity is "Konohanasakuyahime-no-mikoto", who has the power of both fire and water, and is said to have used that power to calm the eruptions of Mount Fuji.

Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls

Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls

Mount Fuji's spring water gushes out from the cracks in the lava cliffs as several hundred waterfalls in various sizes, 20 meters high and 150 meters wide in total. This spring water is from rain and snow that fell on Mount Fuji, seeped into the ground, and reached Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls over a long period of time.

Mount Fuji World Heritage Centre

Mount Fuji World Heritage Centre

It opened in December 2017 as a base facility for preserving and passing on the World Cultural Heritage of "Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration" to future generations.
