It opened in December 2017 as a base facility for preserving and passing on the World Cultural Heritage of "Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration" to future generations.

The exterior of the building is characterized by an inverted cone "upside-down Fuji" form, covered with wooden latticework. Also, the reflection of the building in the pond in front of it is impressive.
The interior of the building has a spiral slope that visitors can experience a virtual Mount Fuji climbing while enjoying some scenery projected on the wall. In addition, the video theatre on the second floor, visitors can see beautiful Mount Fuji in 4K resolution on a 265-inch screen.
